Quarterly Testing and High School/College Placement
We help prepare students for high school and college auditions. All students are tested quarterly on Ear Training and Harmony, Rhythm, Technique, and Music Theory.

Rare Spark’s Mission
I founded Rare Spark Lessons in order to create an environment where all musical genres were encouraged, practiced and performed. I enjoy preparing students for college and helping each student to master their instrument, but also believe that music education extends beyond skill development. Music serves as a means to connect with the community, offers therapeutic benefits, and is a fulfilling pursuit for hobbyists of all ages. Anyone can take lessons to make music for the joy of creating, re-creating and engaging with others in the process of making music. I see positive changes in people’s lives because music engages every part of the brain.
The goal of all our teachers is to guide students toward competency through discovery and happiness, and work with them to spark curiosity so they can continue their own musical journeys.
Igniting Curiosity

We help prepare students for high school and college auditions. All students are tested quarterly on Ear Training and Harmony, Rhythm, Technique, and Music Theory.

We offer monthly practice performances for all students and regular recitals for solo performers. Students can also participate in Rock, Jazz, and ensemble classes, with performances held at Container Park.

We offer private lessons for adults and an adult rock band that takes the stage. The band meets weekly to rehearse, and everyone is welcome to come try out and play!
Services

We offer private voice and instrument lessons, held weekly with college-educated, experienced musicians. Students also have the opportunity to perform regularly in our frequent recitals.

Many of our students take both private and group lessons. We offer vocal ensembles, rock band, jazz band, and adult rock band, and our students see amazing progress as a result!
